These are the stairs leading from the sidewalk to my house. Here, I was trying to do two things. First, I wanted to do something that mixed really bright vibrant colors with neutrals. I started with reds and worked my way through oranges and yellows as I went up. Second, I wanted to try to do a project without overthinking it. I sometimes get bogged down in the planning stages of a project. Instead of just doing it, I'll mull it over to make sure it's something I'm happy with it, but this can lead to months of mulling things over. What I did here was just draw the lines of where the red/orange/yellow would go and five minutes later I was working on it. I like the way it turned out.
